Burndown Chart Generator

Visualise the remaining work in your sprint as a burndown chart.

Remaining work per day

What is a burndown chart?

A burndown chart shows how much work is left in a sprint. The chart has two lines: the ideal line — a straight line from the total to zero — and the actual line with the real remaining work per day. Comparing them shows at a glance whether the team is ahead or behind.

How to use the generator

  1. Set the sprint length and total number of story points.
  2. Enter the remaining work for each day.
  3. The chart updates immediately; download it as a PNG afterwards.

Interpreting the chart

  • Above the ideal line — more work remains than planned; the team is behind.
  • Below the ideal line — the team is ahead of schedule.
  • A flat line — no work is being completed; there may be a blocker.
