Starting your first retrospective

Starting a retrospective in Retrospective Lab takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Pick a template

Go to Templates and choose a format that fits your team — for example Start-Stop-Continue or Sailboat. Not sure? Start-Stop-Continue is a safe first choice.

Step 2: Create a board

Give the board a title (for example the sprint number) and open it. The columns from the template are ready to go.

Step 3: Invite your team

Share the participant link; team members join without an account. See Inviting your team.

Step 4: Facilitate

Work through the phases — collect, group, vote and actions. Close with concrete action items that have an owner.
